What is a Domain name?
Your domain name is important factor in your online success.
A web name, commonly known as a domain name or web address, is like your real life street address. It is how your customers will find you on the web. We recommend having a domain name that reflects your business name and websites' purpose. This will make it easier for your customers to remember your address to visit your site again.
Domain names can be of any length of up 67 characters, which means you don't have to settle for an obscure domain name like gwn.com.au when what you mean is getwebname.com.au. TIP: One of the most commonly asked questions we hear is, "Should I get a hyphenated name?" Our recommendation is NO, avoid them if you can. Simply put hyphenated names are hard to remember and more errors occur when typing or relaying them to customers.
There are many different types of domain names available, of which the .com and .com.au are the most common. TIP: We recommend that if both the .com and .com.au are available for your preferred domain name that you register both to block your competitor from registering the other and getting traffic from mistyped addresses.
