.com	.com is the business domain name space. Although global in nature, a high percentage of gTLD's were originally registered by organisations in the USA.
.net	.net is the network (information infrastructure) domain name space. Although global in nature, a high percentage of gTLD's were originally registered by organisations in the USA.
.org	.org is the organisation (charity) domain name space. Although global in nature, a high percentage of gTLD's were originally registered by organisations in the USA.
.info	.info is the information domain name space. This is one of the second wave of gTLD's and was created to provide more web name alternatives as the traditional gTLD's became highly registered.
.biz	.biz is the new business domain name space. This is one of the second wave of gTLD's and was created to provide more name options as .com names become more registered)
.us	.us is the USA domain name space
.com.au	is the Australian business domain name space, and is reserved for Australian business owners / residents only. You must also be able to prove some relevance / connection to the name in order to register it.
.net.au	is the Australian network domain name space and is reserved for Australian business owners / residents only. You must also be able to prove some relevance / connection to the name in order to register it.
.org.au	is the Australian organisation domain name space, and you require a valid Organisation Number (obtained when registering your organisation).
